Musical Theater for Littles
AGE 4-7
MONDAY 5:00-5:30; $30/month
This class will cover musical theatre basics and play theatre games, perform class skits, learn basic theatre dance skills, and songs. This is an education only class- no performance. NO READING SKILLS REQUIRED. Taught by Haylie Summers.
Musical Theater Jr.
TUESDAYS 3:30-5:00
$80 PER MONTH SEPTMEBER-NOVEMBER; COSTUMES INCLUDED
This is a high commitment class - full of singing, dancing, and acting! The class will end with a full musical performance in late November. Each student is expected to attend all classes (no more than 2 absences for illness or travel). Attendance requirements will be strictly enforced - please make sure your child is able to make this commitment. In addition to Tuesday class times, every student is required to attend Saturday Show rehearsals (4 hours each) leading up to the show. Students must be 8 yrs old by September 1. Taught by Misti Roberts, Lauren Kolmetz, Haylie Summers, Jennifer Austin, and Regina Smith.
Theatre is very much a team sport. Every member of the ensemble is needed and important!! Every student in this class will have a place in the musical. Auditions are required for everyone, regardless of whether or not you would like a speaking role. Auditions help us place you vocally and physically in parts of the ensemble for which you are most well suited. All students enrolled will receive a detailed audition letter describing how to prepare for the audition.
Musical Theater MS/HS
TUESDAY 5:15-7:30

Taught by Misti Roberts, Lauren Kolmetz, Haylie Summers, Jennifer Austin, Regina Smith, Suzanne Roberts and Anthony Powliatis.

Technical Theatre
TUESDAY 3:30-5:00; Sept. Oct. Nov.
Students learn the importance of technical theatre and explore the use of such elements as costumes, props, and scenery. Students practice writing for the theatre and explore various theatre roles and functions. They will explore the elements of art and design for various theatre roles such as scenery, lights, sounds, etc. This class will create and execute the technical aspects of our Jungle Book show with the supervision of our creative team.
